Best AI Clipping Tools, Rated by What Users Actually Say (2026)

Best AI clipping tools, judged only by independent user reviews: Vizard rates highest (4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,521 reviews), OpusClip is second (4.0 from 506), and Klap is third (3.7 from 51). Quso and BlitzReels can't be ranked yet because there's no meaningful independent review record for either one. The pattern across all three rated tools is the same: people like the clips, and the complaints are about billing, cancellation, and support.

Disclosure: we make BlitzCut, a video editor that appears at the bottom of this page because it does a different job. Links to BlitzReels include a tracking parameter that tells BlitzReels the visit came from us. Review scores and prices below were read on October 9, 2026 and will change.

How we rated the best AI clipping tools

This is not a hands-on test, unlike many lists of AI video clipping tools. We didn't run the same long video through each tool, so we say nothing here about which one picks better moments. We looked at three things:

  1. Independent user reviews. Trustpilot scores, review counts, the star split, and what the written reviews complain about.
  2. Published pricing. Taken from each tool's own pricing page.
  3. Evidence quality. A tool with 2,500 reviews and a tool with 1 review are not comparable, so we say when the record is too thin to rank.

We did not use Reddit threads. The research tools we used can't read Reddit, so none of the ratings below rely on it. If you want the loudest unfiltered opinions, search the tool name plus "cancel" or "refund" on Reddit yourself.

1. Vizard

Trustpilot 4.7 from 2,521 reviews, 89% five-star.

Reviewers describe Vizard as a time saver that finds interesting moments in long recordings, including podcasts and talking-head video. One reviewer was pleasantly surprised by results on a long recording in a different language.

What people complain about:

  • Unused credits are forfeited if you cancel, with no refund or carry-over.
  • The free version asks for payment before you can export, which some reviewers call misleading.
  • Support responses are slow or scripted, according to a few reviewers.

Pricing: The free plan includes 60 credits a month, 720p export, 10-minute exports, and 3-day storage. One credit equals one minute of video. Paid plans remove the watermark and export up to 4K. The pricing page showed discounts rather than base prices when we read it, so check the current numbers before you buy.

Read the score carefully: only 8 of Vizard's reviews are from the last 12 months. The 4.7 is mostly older reviews. That doesn't make it wrong, but it tells you less about the tool today than OpusClip's much more recent score does.

2. OpusClip

Trustpilot 4.0 from 506 reviews, 63% five-star and 20% one-star. It has the most recent activity of the group, with 404 reviews in the last 12 months.

The praise is consistent: it turns long videos into short clips quickly, the interface is simple, and several reviewers say customer service was kind and responsive when it worked.

What people complain about:

  • Cancelling. One reviewer reported sending 16 emails to cancel.
  • Support. Another described a chat left unread for four days.
  • Upsells. A reviewer mentioned constant pop-ups pushing paid upgrades.
  • Credits and reliability. Credits are minute-based, so a two-hour recording uses 120. Outside review sites mention stalled or failed processing and unrefunded credits for clips you delete.

Pricing: Free, Starter at $15 a month, and Pro at $29 a month, with a custom Business tier. The free plan limits exports to 1080p and a 3-day storage window, and free exports carry a watermark.

OpusClip is the best known of these tools, and it has the most recent reviews, including the angry ones. The 20% one-star share is the number to weigh against the praise.

3. Klap

Trustpilot 3.7 from 51 reviews, 51% five-star and 31% one-star.

Positive reviewers like how convenient it is and say it saves them time. One said it saves an hour every day. Reviewers also praise multilingual support and the quality of the clips.

What people complain about:

  • Cancelling is difficult, according to several reviewers.
  • Pricing isn't clear until the charge appears.
  • Refunds are hard to get, and one reviewer called the site "very scammy".

Pricing (billed yearly): Basic at $14 a month for 100 clips, Pro at $39 for 300 clips, and Pro+ at $94 for 1,000 clips. Klap meters clips, not minutes.

With 51 reviews and a 31% one-star share, Klap's score is the least stable of the three rated tools. A few reviews moving would shift it a lot.

Unrated: Quso

Trustpilot shows 3.2 from a single review, a one-star report of an account lockout and an unanswered support request. Quso's profile is unclaimed and shows no history of asking customers for reviews.

One review isn't a rating, so we haven't ranked Quso. Pricing: Free (75 credits a month, 720p), Lite at $29 a month ($19 billed annually), Essential at $39 ($26 annually), and Growth at $49 ($33 annually). One credit is about one minute of processed video, and clipping, captioning, and editing all draw from it.

Unrated: BlitzReels

BlitzReels describes itself as an AI video editing platform that turns podcasts, webinars, interviews, demos, and other long recordings into branded social clips. It finds strong moments, reframes them for vertical video, adds captions and title cards, and exports for LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It's aimed at founders, consultants, coaches, marketers, and small teams. Its site also lists YouTube, tutorial, Loom, and Zoom recordings as sources and includes a timeline editor for refining clips. See BlitzReels.

Why it isn't ranked: we couldn't find a Trustpilot page or any independent user reviews for BlitzReels, and its pricing page doesn't show testimonials. That isn't a verdict on quality. A newer product simply hasn't built a public review record, and we won't invent one. We also haven't run it through a hands-on test.

What we can verify from its pricing page:

PlanMonthlyBilled annuallyAI creditsExports
Starter$39$29 a month15 a month30 a month
Growth$79$59 a month75 a month150 a month
Agency$199$149 a month250 a monthUnlimited

All paid plans export without a watermark. There's no free plan: the entry point is a 7-day trial that requires a card and includes one video import (720p, 15 minutes) and three watermarked 720p exports. Growth adds three team members and Agency adds ten.

What to check before paying: how many clips one AI credit produces (the page doesn't say), what happens to unused credits when you cancel, and how cancellation works. Those are the same three things reviewers complain about at the other tools. Because the trial requires a card, set a reminder before it ends.

OpusClip Alternatives

If you're here because OpusClip's credits, cancellation, or support put you off, the alternatives split by what you're trying to fix:

  • Billing and credit complaints: Vizard has the best review record of the group, though it also forfeits unused credits when you cancel. Klap meters clips instead of minutes, and its reviews have more billing complaints than OpusClip's.
  • Price: Quso's free plan gives 75 credits a month, and Klap's paid plans start at $14 a month billed yearly. OpusClip's paid plans start at $15.
  • A newer option: BlitzReels has no independent review record yet. Its entry plan is $29 a month billed annually, and the trial requires a card.
  • You pick the moments: an editor, not a clipper, is the better fit. See BlitzCut below, and BlitzCut vs OpusClip.

Where BlitzCut fits (and where it doesn't)

BlitzCut is not an AI clip finder. It doesn't scan a two-hour recording and propose ten clips. You pick the moment, using the transcript to find it, and BlitzCut handles the cutting, silence removal, captions, and vertical framing on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It has no credit system. Plans start at $6.99 a week, with $69.99 a year and a $129.99 lifetime option.

If you want the AI to choose your moments, one of the tools above is the better fit. If you already know the moment and mostly want fast cleanup, see our comparison of podcast clip makers and BlitzCut vs OpusClip.

What these ratings can't tell you

  • Clip quality. A tool can be well liked and still pick clips that don't suit your content. Only a test with your own footage settles that.
  • Review bias. Trustpilot reviews skew toward people with a strong reaction, and companies can invite happy customers to leave reviews. A 4.7 and a 4.0 are both worth a grain of salt.
  • Recency. A score built mostly on older reviews, like Vizard's, may not describe the product today.
  • Billing is the real risk. Across every rated tool, the complaints that repeat are about cancelling, refunds, and credits. Check how each one handles that before you enter a card.

How to choose

  1. Test with your own footage. Run the same 20-minute clip through two tools on their free plans or trials and compare the first three clips each picks.
  2. Read the credit rules first. Know whether you pay per minute, per clip, or per export, and what happens to leftover credits.
  3. Check cancellation before you subscribe. Find the cancel button, read the refund policy, and set a calendar reminder.
  4. Decide who picks the moment. If you want the AI to pick, use a clipper. If you pick, a faster editor beats a credit meter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best AI clipping tools?

On independent reviews alone, Vizard has the strongest record (4.7 from 2,521 Trustpilot reviews), followed by OpusClip (4.0 from 506). That measures customer satisfaction, not clip quality. Test your own footage before committing.

Is OpusClip worth it?

Many users like how fast it produces clips, and it has the most recent review activity of the group. The recurring complaints are difficult cancellation, slow support, and minute-based credits that run down quickly on long recordings. If you clip long podcasts every week, check the credit math first.

Is BlitzReels good?

We don't know yet. We couldn't find independent user reviews, so we haven't rated it, and we haven't tested it hands-on. What we can confirm is the pricing: paid plans from $29 a month billed annually, with a 7-day card-required trial.

Which AI clipper has the fairest pricing?

Pricing structures differ, so the cheapest number isn't the fairest. Vizard and OpusClip charge by minutes of video, Klap charges by clips, and BlitzReels charges by AI credits and exports. Compare the cost of the amount of video you actually process in a month.

Do AI clipping tools work for podcasts?

Yes, that's the main use case for most of them. They work best on speech-heavy recordings with clear audio. They're less reliable on content with a lot of visual action, and they can cut a sentence off early, so budget time to check each clip.
