Why Android is on the list

  • Short-form editing happens on the phone that shot the footage. Exporting to a laptop to cut silence and add captions kills the whole point.
  • Android covers the majority of phones worldwide, and most AI caption apps either skip it or ship a stripped-down version.
  • On-device processing means clips never leave the phone — the same thing the iOS app does, without a round trip to a server.

Where things actually stand

There is no Android build today and no announced release date. Waitlist numbers directly influence whether Android comes before or after other platforms.

What works on Android today

These run entirely in your browser, so they work on Android right now. Files are processed locally and never uploaded.

Already have an iPhone, iPad, or Mac?

The full app is out on those. Silence removal, auto-captions, and transcript-based editing, free to download.

Android questions

Is BlitzCut on Google Play?

No. BlitzCut AI is currently available only through Apple's App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is not on Google Play.

Is there an APK I can sideload?

No. There is no Android build at all, so any APK claiming to be BlitzCut is not from us and should not be installed.

What happens after I join the waitlist?

You get one email when the Android app is live on Google Play. Your address is used for nothing else.
